Troopers Endorse Jeb
CONCORD — The 275-member New Hampshire Troopers Association threw its support behind Republican candidate Jeb Bradley in the First District Congressional race.
"Whenever the New Hampshire State Police put their name behind someone, we take that very seriously. But looking at the First Congressional District race, it was an easy pick," said President Lou Copponi. "Jeb Bradley has always shown he cares for and supports the men and woman of the State Police and I know he will continue to be a powerful voice for us, when he returns to Congress."

Veterans Show Support for Jeb
ROCHESTER — Veterans and fellow Republican candidates showed their support Monday for Jeb Bradley, who is seeking to regain his seat in U.S. Congress.
The Wolfeboro candidate enjoyed doughnuts and coffee with about 30 people at the George J. Maxfield Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1772 in East Rochester. He represented the state's 1st Congressional District for two terms until Democrat Carol Shea-Porter, of Rochester, narrowly won in 2006.

Legion gives DesRosiers heartfelt tribute
ROCHESTER — Gary DesRosiers, the outgoing state commander of the Sons of the American Legion, can definitely relate on some level to the challenges faced by returning combat veterans who have lost limbs and sometimes hope.
DesRosiers shared some details of how he has had to rise above some of his recent health problems during his testimonial Saturday evening at the American Legion Post 7.
Four years ago, DesRosiers told American Legion members, he had serious abdominal surgery and then more surgery within the past year.

MILTON — The Town of Milton, which alternates its annual Memorial Day exercises between Milton Mills and Milton, held much of this year's event outside the American Legion Post 61 building in glorious weather — a piece of good fortune remarked upon by one of two guest speakers, former U.S. Congressman Jeb Bradley.
At the outset, the President of the Day, Post 61 Adjutant Bob McKinley, introduced Pastor Richard Arnold, who is a retired Air National Guard and U.S. Navy veteran, and he gave the Invocation. I think that across the state and across the nation it was just a bad year for Republicans. ... I look at 2008 and I think it is going to be very different. The dynamics of 2006 are behind us now and I think people are, as I said before, very concerned about all of the things that are costing more in their lives ... those economic pressures are there and certainly as I talk to people they want somebody that understands how the economy is going to grow.
